We asked our friend, Gary Sibbald, to have a read of one of our recommended books - The Virgin Way by Richard Branson. He sent us his thoughts and we wanted to share them with you in hopes that it may inspire you to have a read yourself. If you read any of our Meee Books Library, let us know as we'd love to feature some of your thoughts on our website!
"You asked for my personal thoughts;
The book was easy to read, full of knowledge, full of positive ideas, humorous, and uplifting and illuminating in a down to earth way.
I know of Richard Branson via television, newspapers, and radio but never really found the time to see what has made him such a successful entrepreneur.
He is an example of someone who came from nowhere with nothing, failed quite a lot, worked hard with the people and tools at hand.
He has achieved positive results for all the effort and sacrifices put in, such as celebrity status, money, power and clout, and a Knighthood.
But, to my eyes, this is not what drives him on every day.
Above all else I believe Sir Richard Branson wants to make a positive difference and do some good, because if he wasn't making a positive difference to other people’s lives, he couldn't ever be a successful entrepreneur and a No1 business person.
This may sound a bit harsh?
You will never change the world if you are fearful and worried about being liked, actions do speak louder than any words,
This is the true essence how he has made Virgin today,
"The Branson Way"
I would recommend to others to read, and intend to get my own copy to read again for inspiration and motivation use".
