"What makes me, me?"
It’s a question most of us ask ourselves at some point - especially when we’re growing up. And answering it - by thinking about what we’re interested in, what’s important to us and what we want to achieve - is hugely important to leading a life we feel good about. It can be difficult to know where to begin. But the Meee Programme is here to help.
An educational tool with a difference
Meee is made up of three separate strands: Education, Employment and Enterprise, with an overarching aim to help people understand who they are and what they want to be. Through specially designed workshops, we support, mentor and inspire people. We help:
- Young people in education to cope with school life, identify their skills and interests and explore exciting career options
- School leavers classified as NEET (not in education, employment or training) to develop the drive and resilience to find their path into the working world
- Unemployed people and those not satisfied by their jobs to pin down their personal values and work towards a career they truly want
Across all our workshops, we teach techniques for coping with the stress and anxiety many feel when they lose a sense of where they fit in - whether in school, the working world or wider society. And we draw on practical tips from the latest thinking about education to encourage people to rediscover confidence in their own abilities, including shining a light on the valuable ‘soft skills’ many don’t know they have.
Vision and mission
Our vision is to inspire each and every person to believe in who they are and what they can achieve.
Our mission is to make the Meee Programme available to everyone, the world over.
