Meee and the Armed Forces Covenant.

Meee and the Armed Forces Covenant.

Sid and Jo were invited into the Army Marquee at the Royal Welsh Show this summer. There, they were greeted by super friendly Army officers who were keen on telling them all about the Armed Forces Covenant, what it means for the armed forces, veterans, their families and for organisations who want to support and champion the covenant.

The covenant focusses on helping members of the armed forces community have equal opportunities and access to service as any other citizen. This includes entitlement to education, starting a new career, access to healthcare, financial assistance and having a home. Over 1,500 organisations have signed the covenant, including businesses and charities. Meee signed up shortly after to be a company registered with the Armed Forces Covenant.

By signing the covenant, Meee pledges to ensure that those who serve in the Armed Forces, those who have served in the past and their families will face no disadvantage compared to other citizens of the public. We promise to remain always a forces-friendly organisation.

Many of those we meet on The Meee Programme are ex-forces and we want to show our commitment by becoming an employer that supports veterans and their families. It is an absolute honour to be a signatory to the covenant and we are proud to show our support to the men and women of the forces.

Show your support by visiting the Armed Forces Covenant website and see how you can get involved: You don’t have to be a part of a big organisation to help! More information can be found on their blog: in which you can keep up to date about the Covenant in action.
